How rooms and staff stay free

Everything that takes a room or a person holds them: a class, a camp, an appointment, a rental, a party, a show, someone's time off, a closure. Caletan never offers a room or a person who's already held, online or at the desk, so nothing is booked twice by mistake.

The calendar

Calendar, in the menu, is the whole day in one place, every kind of booking on it. By room lists what's on in every room by time, or one room's day; By staff, each person's.

Tap anything on it to open it. New booking books what you can from there, on the day shown: an appointment, a rental, a party, a walk-in for today's class, or closing a room.

On a bigger screen, each room has its own column, and By staff each person.

When you need to book over something

Online, only times when everything is free are offered. At the desk, Another time lets you choose any start. If a room or a person is already held then, you're told what it is and asked first: Book it anyway keeps both, and the calendar shows the clash so you can sort it out.

What's held is rooms, staff and equipment, never the people booking: a family can enrol a child in two classes at once if they choose to.
