Online booking and deposits

Clients book on your website: the service, who with, and a time when that person and a chair are both free. If you ask for a deposit, they pay it while their time is held, and the rest at the salon.

Your services online

Add the Services page to your website (Website, Add a page), and every service booked online is on it, each with its Book button. An add-on shows with the service it goes with.

Booking

The client chooses who with, or Anyone, then the day, and sees only the starts when someone and a place are free. With Anyone, they're told who it'll be. An add-on is ticked before the time, and it's booked straight after.

They make an account or sign in, so they can see, move and cancel their appointments later. With a deposit, they see what's due today and what's left at the salon, and pay it by card. Booked, they're told when they can still change it, and they're sent the details and a reminder the day before.

When nothing's free

If nothing's free on the day they want, they can join the waitlist for the hours that suit them. When a time opens, everyone waiting for it is emailed, and the first to book it gets it.

The rules

From Appointments, tap More, then Booking rules:

  • Cancelling and moving online: until how many hours before. After that, clients are asked to call you.
  • A deposit to book online: a percentage, for services from a price you choose, and if you like, only from new clients or only after a no-show this year.
  • Fees: for cancelling late and for not coming, as a percentage of the price. The deposit counts first; the rest goes on their card.
  • Stop online booking after a number of no-shows in a year.

Northside's rules: 48 hours, a 25% deposit from $100, and its fees

The client's own

Signed in, a client sees their appointments on Home. Each says when, with whom and where, what's paid, and until when they can change it. More has Move it, Book again, the same with the same person, and Cancel it, which says what comes back.
